Usually when I visit a website and submit a support request, I like to keep track of the status of my report.
In this short article I want to list some free Open Source solutions to provide a ticket system to your visitors or customers. In particular I will describe programmed solutions for PHP servers.

Ticket system partially optimized for mobile devices, does not yet support a responsive theme.
OsTicket is one of the most complete and advanced systems available for free; has several filters, supports tasks or the programming of scheduled alerts, ticket expiration, customizable email templates, excellent management of multiple email addresses.

I used OsTicket for a long time then due to a problem and the desire to have a responsive system easily accessible even from mobile devices and with a modern and simple design I switched to UVdesk.
Ticket system, now also available in a responsive version that is also adaptable to the screens of mobile devices. It supports basic functions. In my experience I was able to use the previous version to the responsive one using Mods for Hesk, today no longer necessary if you are using the latest version.

It’s possibile to download FreeScout for free.
The installation will be easy and also the setup I found it very well programmed.
Very basic functions are free.
The free version doesn’t have a user interface for check ticket status or open new tickets.
For have user portal, ticket ID in the subject of the email, workflow, darkmode, etc you need buy additional modules.
Not bad price considering the license is a life time license.
